It’s so nice to connect with you, I love getting to know those who find joy in my art. It’s such an honor to create work that is hung in homes and loved by those who view it. I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio and really enjoy the Midwest. The Midwest has offered me exponential subject matter and I will forever love it.

Growing up I was exposed to a lot of art both here in Toledo and around the US as well as Europe. I soaked it all up and still couldn’t get enough. My family was very supportive and facilitated my art education. I spent lots of evenings with part time art instructors with incredible talent and a generosity of their knowledge that knew no bounds. There were Saturday morning art classes at the Toledo Museum of Art and Common Space. I was in awe and wanted to know everything. I’m still very grateful.

I graduated in art from the University of Toledo with both undergraduate and graduate degrees. The relationship between the University and the Toledo Museum of Art is second to none. I’m blessed to have been a part of that cohesive education that is on the campus of a world renowned Museum.

While working on my Master’s thesis I rented a space downtown and met a now dear friend who took me under her wing and let me follow her around like a duck. It changed the trajectory of my art career and gave me a template of which to work. So much has changed the last 20 years but my love of painting has not changed a bit. I love color and color theory.

Fast foward 20 years and I’m still painting in my home studio as I have my own little ducklings. I can’t describe the joy that comes from the liberty to create and parent under the same roof. Another love is gardening and it offers me some inspiration when I can gather a bouquet. Flowers never disappoint. I’m thrilled to share my work with you and look forward to painting and selling my work. May you find someone’s art and hang it in your space.
